Frequently asked questions
Understand your workspace, plans and everyday asset operations.
What is DAP?
DAP is Estrome’s Digital Asset Platform for managing inventory, asset passports, assignments, locations, vendors, repairs, documents and reports in one company workspace.
Can I explore signup before registering?
Yes. The view-only signup walkthrough lets you navigate all seven steps without entering personal details, sending an OTP, making payment or creating an account.
Who should be the Administrator / Org admin?
Choose the person responsible for your company’s workspace, users and administration. Their work email is verified during signup. Asset Managers can be given the permissions needed for day-to-day operations.
What is the difference between DAP and DAP Pro?
DAP Smart includes 250 assets and 3 management users for ₹1,499 monthly or ₹14,990 annually. All four plans track owned, rented and leased equipment as assets. Rental and leasing management is available only in Pro and Enterprise. Core inventory, QR passports and imports are included across plans. Physical Audit, Scan Asset, full-screen dashboard display, asset handover and return, and Critical System Health are available in DAP, DAP Pro and Enterprise. Service Desk, email intake, financial dashboards, native budgets, ITSM previews and custom workflow/branding/SLA options require Pro or Enterprise; bespoke work requires an agreed scope. DAP includes 1,000 assets, 5 management users and 5,000 monthly document operations. DAP Pro includes 2,000 assets, 20 management users and 10,000 monthly document/intelligence operations, plus advanced asset/financial AI and supported external connector execution. Every plan offers unlimited employee accounts; company permissions still apply.
Which records count toward my limits?
Every unarchived asset counts, regardless of lifecycle, including lost, disposed, donated and recycled records. Archiving an asset frees asset capacity. Only active management login accounts count as user seats. Employee accounts are unlimited; inactive accounts and assignment-only profiles are excluded.
How is additional usage billed?
Your Org Admin must first accept the displayed additional-capacity rates. Actual extra assets/users are prorated by active time; successful additional operations are charged per operation. Each tenant receives a separate month-end draft reviewed by Estrome Admin/Owner. Approval automatically emails the PDF invoice to active Org Admins. Approved charges unpaid for 30 days appear at renewal without being invoiced or taxed again.
How does GST apply?
Prices exclude GST. GST at 18% applies. Uttar Pradesh billing uses CGST 9% plus SGST 9%; other Indian states use IGST 18%. You can optionally provide your company GSTIN for the invoice.
Is payment required for the free trial?
All four plans offer a 15-day free trial from workspace creation, with no payment and no automatic charge. Enterprise asset and management-user capacity is tailored to your requirements and agreed by quote. Annual subscriptions include 12 months for the price of 10. Enterprise signup and trial access are arranged by Estrome; contact info@estrome.com. Other plans support self-service signup. Contact Estrome to subscribe after the trial.
Can I import existing records?
Yes. Import supported Excel/CSV inventory, people and departments, or use invoice intake to prepare assets for review. Validate details and duplicates before confirming an import.
Does DAP support medical and non-IT equipment?
Yes. The catalogue offers 100 types across IT/electronics, medical, laboratory, industrial, facilities/power, furniture/office, fleet/handling and hospitality/agriculture. Specific custom asset types are also supported. Manual, CSV/Excel and invoice-review workflows use the expanded catalogue; AI-extracted types need human confirmation.
Which equipment specifications can I record?
Invoice review supports 18 specification fields, including capacity, power, electrical supply, operating range, accuracy, dimensions, material and recorded calibration/service intervals. Applicable fields appear for the equipment type. Absent values remain unrecorded; recording an interval does not schedule work or certify clinical fitness/compliance.
What does the Service Desk include?
Incident, Service Request, Problem and Change tickets are available through the optional Service Desk module in DAP Pro and DAP Enterprise. Tickets support multiple optional affected services and email intake after mailbox configuration.
Will every uploaded file appear in Document Storage & Recovery?
No. The register covers permitted asset-linked documents, including linked invoices and agreement evidence. It supports grouped originals, archived documents, recovery and retention holds. Service Desk attachments stay with their tickets; standalone or subscription files are not automatically part of this register.
Does DAP show whether critical equipment is running live?
Critical System Health is available in DAP, DAP Pro and DAP Enterprise. Configure a reachable network endpoint for ping checks, or choose Manual check for equipment that a technician checks in person. Authorised technicians record Healthy or Not healthy with a reason; the dashboard shows the latest result, check time and checker. Network checks indicate reachability, not clinical performance or certification, and do not replace medical alarms.
Can I manage remote assets and multiple locations?
Yes. Record registered offices and deployment contexts such as remote work, meeting rooms and shops, then use permitted location filters and asset assignments.
Can I project the dashboard on a large screen?
Yes. Present dashboard opens a full-screen live view in DAP, DAP Pro and Enterprise. It refreshes automatically and retains your role permissions. Exit presentation or press Escape to return to the workspace.
Can I customize dashboards and reports?
Yes. Arrange dashboard widgets, save named views, select report dates and fields, sort tables and export permitted records to Excel or PDF. Available data and services depend on your plan and permissions.
Does a QR code change when an asset is reassigned?
The QR identity remains stable when asset details or assignments change. Authorized end-of-life actions govern revocation. Public scans show only the limited published passport information.
Is each company’s data separate?
Each subscribing company has a separate workspace. Tenant-scoped permissions and database row-level security restrict access to that company’s permitted records. Estrome owner administration is separate from subscriber administration.
Do integrations work automatically?
External adapters require the supported plan, customer credentials, consent and configuration. Planned connectors are identified separately; their listing does not mean they are connected.
How can I get help or an Enterprise quote?
